Club Philosophy

Chesterfield Ladies FC aims to provide the opportunity for players and coaches to progress and achieve their full potential in football and in life.

For our junior sides

To provide a fun and enjoyable football experience

To have a high social and psychological aspect to sessions

To focus on player development

To demonstrate and teach the importance of respect for all

For our adult sides

Complete in all aspects of the game for the club to progress to the next level

To increase the technical and tactical awareness of players

For players to have the best opportunities to realise their full potential through high quality coaching

We want our players to be confident in possession, which in turn creates decision makers, who communicate effectively. We want our players to feel able to make mistakes, to enhance their learning, their decision making and tactical awareness.

We expect all players to behave respectfully, on an off the pitch, be committed to our club and to their own personal drive to be the best that they can be.

We expect our Coaches to be committed to the Club and to their players development and to their own personal development on their coaching journey, whilst remaining reflective on their own and their team’s performance. We promote the use of positive and encouraging words and want to see an emphasis on good performance.

We insist that all of our Coaches behave respectfully to all players, spectators, match and Club officials.

The Club

To give our Players and Coaches the best opportunities to deliver the above, the club is committed to supporting development of coaches. In addition, the Club aims to create new teams each season providing a safe training and playing environment for Players and Coaches to work in.

The Club will ensure that all coaches are FA Licensed Coaches, have valid FA Safeguarding and Emergency First Aid Certificates and that all Club volunteers are DBS checked.
